Actually, this helicopter ride was a gift to its' 100yr old passenger. This is a film from a relative that filmed it and stood very close to the helicopter. In fact, he pissed the pilot off by being so close that the pilot wanted to scare the relative by almost running him down. However, the helicopter got stuck in what is called "vortex ring state", and was only kept in the air by the ground effect. Therefore he had no control and could not lift and eventually crashed.
Both the pilot and the 100 year old passenger survived, although the senior died a week later from a heart attack - speculated to originate from his spectacular gift a week earlier..
