Actually, "soccer" is an old British slang for "Association Football". When all the other types of football stopped being played by the Brits, they dropped the usage. It continued in America.

I'm really tired of British people acting like what they do is correct, and then complaining that Americans do the same.

Also, the "King" has been dead for longer than I've been alive. Soccer can stay a dead man's game.

Rugby and American football aren't the same. Rugby players are like "LOL, WE DON'T KNOW HOW TO THROW". They also don't wear pads because they don't hit as hard. I'd love to see a brawl between a football team and a rugby team. It would be hilarious. Also, no one called it "American football" when they invented it. HURR DURR DURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
